Dr. Karen Davies spent her early years growing up in the Northwest. She received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Washington. During her undergraduate studies, her interest in holistic medicine began with her work at Bastyr University. After her move to Portland, she went on to Oregon State University and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.
Dr. Davies has always loved working with animals in general practice. With her interest in various alternative methods of medicine, she became certified in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 2010. She also recently finished her certification for canine rehabilitation from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. In addition to general practice, she enjoys working with pets with musculoskeletal issues to help keep them active and happy.
During her free time, Dr. Davies enjoys hiking, spending time with her daughter and husband, riding her horse, and romping through the woods with her dogs.
